We have been around since 1917. This is our 109th year anniversary.
Vancouver T.V.S. Branch 44 of the Royal Canadian Legion is a service-focused branch dedicated to supporting veterans, youth, and the broader community across British Columbia. While many Legion branches operate social spaces, Branch 44 is uniquely focused on giving back—directing its energy toward charitable initiatives, advocacy, and meaningful community impact.
At the heart of what we do is supporting those who have served, along with organizations that strengthen our communities. Through regular donations and partnerships, Branch 44 contributes to a wide range of causes, including veteran support programs, healthcare initiatives, youth development, and housing services.
Organizations we support include Wounded Warriors Canada, Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, Covenant House Vancouver, BC & Alberta Guide Dogs, Whole Way House, Veterans Memorial Manor, the Volunteer Cancer Drivers Society, and the Lower Mainland Colour Party, among many others. We are also proud to support youth leadership and development through groups such as the Navy League and the Royal Canadian Air Cadets.
In addition to charitable giving, Branch 44 provides bursaries and education awards to students pursuing post-secondary education, invests in local schools and athletics, and supports community-based initiatives that make a lasting difference.
Our membership continues to grow, reflecting a strong and renewed commitment to the Legion’s mission. Whether through service, donations or advocacy, our members are united by a shared purpose: to honour veterans by supporting the communities they helped build and continue to be a part of.
