With the 2026 Poppy Campaign set to begin on October 24, volunteers at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 44 have been hard at work behind the scenes, making sure everything is ready for another important year of Remembrance.
Over the past several days, our dedicated volunteers have been busy preparing poppy boxes, organizing supplies, coordinating distribution routes and getting everything ready for the campaign's official launch.
It's a tremendous amount of work, and much of it happens long before the first poppy is distributed.
The annual Poppy Campaign is one of the most important initiatives undertaken by the Royal Canadian Legion, raising funds to support Veterans and their families. Its success depends on the generosity, commitment and hard work of volunteers who give their time to make it all possible.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has already contributed to this year's preparations, as well as those who have signed up to help throughout the campaign.
As we approach October 24, we look forward to another successful campaign and to seeing our community come together in support of those who have served.
To all our wonderful volunteers, thank you. Your dedication makes a meaningful difference, and we couldn't do this without you.
Lest We Forget.
